Rachel Ward – Interim Children’s Director

Originally from Loganville, Georgia, Rachel moved to Kennesaw to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education: Birth through Kindergarten. After many visits to Athens while close friends attended UGA, she and her husband fell in love with the area and made it their home in 2021. She has had the joy of teaching in classrooms with children from infancy through Pre-K, has served as an assistant director at a childcare center in Watkinsville, and currently works as a registered behavior technician, providing ABA therapy to children with autism.

Rooted in her faith in Jesus from a young age, she feels called to nurture and care for children. Classic City Church has played a meaningful role in her and her husband's spiritual growth, and it’s been a blessing to give back to the community that has poured so much into them. She is honored to serve as the interim Children’s Director and walk alongside families in helping their little ones grow in Christ.
