International Student Ministry
On Sunday, August 30, our International Student Ministry (ISM) is hosting a “Southern Welcome” at the graduate housing pavilion located at 230 Rogers Road from 6 to 8 PM.
You and I both know that the best way to welcome someone to the South is with good food, so we want you to come and bring your best dish, side, or dessert.
ISM offers an amazing opportunity for our church body to practice some “holy hospitality” with people from all over the world, or, as Susanne Kasahara likes to say, to “let our casseroles preach the gospel.”
We’re looking to feed around 70 international students, so sign up to bring your favorite dish!
ISM's Mission
Classic City Church’s International Student Ministry (ISM) is an avenue to pursue the hearts of international students through friendship and hospitality.
International students leave their families and other comforts when they move to UGA. Once here, they can often feel lonely and search for a community to share life with.
Through friendships, we hope to show them:
What it looks like to live a life fully surrendered to Christ.
That their perspective and culture are valued and respected.
That they have a place in Athens, at UGA, in the CCC community, and in the Kingdom of God.
