Why We Gather
The intent of our service is to connect with God through four basic means:
- Enjoying one another
- Singing and praying to God
- Hearing God's voice through scripture
- Remembering the atoning sacrifice of Christ in communion
A Typical Service
Come dressed in whatever is comfortable for you. Suits or jeans are both appropriate. At 9:45 we gather for fellowship and prayer; the worship service begins promptly at 10:30 and ends at 11:45 am. We open with a song, followed by a greeting and announcements. We usually sing 3-4 worship songs together before hearing the message. We close by singing 2-3 more worship songs during communion.
Our Worship Style
Our worship style is a mix of acoustic hymns and unplugged renditions of contemporary praise songs. Our worship team works hard to produce a high quality sound to enhance an authentic expression of God’s worth. We place a low emphasis on frills and production and a high emphasis on the congregation's participation in a genuine worship experience.
Communion
The Lord’s Supper is the universal sacrament shared by all who follow Jesus Christ. The word sacrament means "sacred moment". We celebrate the Eucharist in each of our worship services as a tactile reminder of Christ and His sacrifice for us. Our communion table is open for all who profess Christ as Lord and Savior. Worship occurs throughout the communion service.
