Missions & Outreach

Classic City designates ten percent of its offerings to missions and outreach. Our desire is to increase our missions giving by an additional 1 percent each year. Our domestic giving focuses on the poor in Athens, local youth ministries and outreach to UGA. Overseas we support the Balama Project in the nation of Liberia and YWAM in Cambodia.

Overseas Missions

Jonathan & Charlotte Ellis: Cambodia

Jonathan grew up in New Zealand in a Christian home and felt called to international missions when he was in high school. He studied Environmental Economics and Management at UGA and He is especially interested in community development and training people in developing countries so they can better their families and communities.

Charlotte grew up in Atlanta, GA and have felt called to overseas ministry since a young age and after spending some time doing mission work in high school and college. She studied Child and Family Development at UGA and is interested in working with children and mentoring youth.

They met in 2007 during at the University of Georgia and realized that God was bringing them together so they might fulfill their calling as a family. After completing their Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission in 2011, they were accepted as staff in Battambang, Cambodia. Their time is spent teaching English and job skills to young people, caring for children affected by HIV/AIDS, and participating in community development projects. As they serve the Cambodian people, their goal is to show them the love of Christ and His heart for their nation.
