We highly value children and truly believe they are gifts from God! God has created your children with great plans in mind for them. Our prayer for the children at CCC is for them to embrace their youth by learning to honor the greatness of Jesus Christ by growing spiritually, living authentically, and participating in His purposes. We are dedicated to providing an environment where your children are nurtured by loving mentors and teachers.
Nursery Age: A nursery is available throughout the service for children 2 years old and younger.
PreK to Elementary Age: Children 3 years old and up attend the worship service and are released to join their teachers during the offertory.
All children’s volunteers have been cleared through a background check and a personal interview with the Children’s Director.
WHAT YOUR CHILD IS LEARNING
“The goal of a successful Sunday School is changed lives. Everything from the stories and activities, to the music, is designed to help teachers and leaders layer God’s truth into a person’s life in a life-transforming way. It leads people to Jesus. The Bible is one story—the story of Jesus. We believe that every story in the Bible points to Jesus. So should Sunday School. Because nothing is more important than a person’s relationship with Jesus.”

Classic City Youth exists to teach kids to read the Bible for themselves, understand and experience the spirit of true prayer and worship, and build relationships with people who have genuine relationships with the Lord. We hope to do this through creating a fun and safe community in which students can experience growth with others their own age, as well as participate in mentor relationships with dedicated, loving, Christ-centered leaders. Our group is led by the Youth Pastor, Josh Rogers, and a group of amazing college student and young adult volunteers.
A typical week consists of youth gathering on Sundays, mid-week small groups/Bible studies, and sometimes fun weekend activities for our students and their friends!
Sunday youth group is at our Ministry Center directly after the Sunday service until 2pm, which is within walking distance of our sanctuary for Sunday services. We have lunch, play some games, and spend time in a Bible study and prayer. The Bible study consist of rereading the scriptures from the church service and unpacking the message from the sermon. This allows the youth a chance to discuss, process, and apply the message to their lives in a good environment with their peers and within the loving guidance of the young adult leaders.
Throughout the week we have various Cell Groups that consist of 2 Adult Volunteer Leaders and a handful of youth of the same demographic, like age and gender. These groups are flexible and attempt to work well with the kids and families' schedules and locations. The time spent together include fun social time, accountability and prayer, and a Bible study. Prior semesters we have done studies on The Sermon on the Mount, the Book of James, parables of Jesus, and the Gospel of Mark to name a few.
If you or your family are interested in joining a Cell Group you can fill out THIS FORM to provide helpful information about your family and schedule to help us find or form a group for y'all.

CLASSIC CITY WOMEN
The Amplified version of John 16:33 states,
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you].
The women at Classic City Church long to be and see women who live undaunted for Christ Jesus. To be women who are fearless, not bound, daunted or subdued by fear; but enabled, empowered, encouraged and enveloped by the love of God.
Our prayer is to Honor the Greatness of Christ Jesus bygrowing spiritually, living authentically, and participating in His purposes. All by the grace of our loving God.
We believe that as women go through the journey of life closely connected to one another, their walks will be enriched and enhanced. “There is no doubt that friendship is a strategic mechanism that God uses to encourage us, sharpen us, and teach us.” (Priscilla Shirer's forward in Friendships of Women)
Classic City Church desires to facilitate women’s relationships inter-generationally through small group gatherings, fellowship events, mentoring and discipling.
In Jesus' last words on Earth he told his disciples, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
We take this charge seriously. It is crucial all believers first become disciples and then pursue "making disciples." Our desire is that men will seek to develop the heart, mind, and skills to make this ideal a reality in their lives.
We seek to do this by:
Establishing a vision and heart for discipleship
Modeling a strategy for descipleship
Developing discipleship skills (helping others grow in faith and practice)
Challenging and evaluating individual efforts in discipleship
If this challenge interests you, contact Lee Mason at Lee@classiccity.org
At Classic City Church, we believe small groups are a pivotal part of spiritual growth! Our groups exist to help us actualize the church mission statement to honor the greatness of Jesus Christ by growing spiritually, living authentically, and participating in His purposes. We offer several studies where similar-staged individuals can meet together to study God's word and develop Christ-centered friendships.
Please take the time to review our small group opportunities, and express your interest via one of the methods described.
The worship team at Classic City Church aims to serve the church by pursuing authenticity and excellence in music and arts. We believe that God responds to our humility and loves to use those who are humbled before Him. We aim to create a culture of worship that points outwards and upwards, using our gifts to help shepherd the church into the throne room of God through worship.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MINISTRY
DID YOU KNOW?
2,700 international students from 123 nations are enrolled at UGA this year.
75% of these students are from 10/40 Window Nations that have limited exposure to the Gospel.

Only 1 in 4 of these students will be invited to visit an American home during their 4-5 year stay in Athens.
Only 1 in 5 will receive an invitation to visit an American church!
Together we will seek to share God’s love and Christian hospitality with international friends next fall! Please provide the following information so we may contact you prior to the beginning of fall semester.

Change the world
Each week we receive an offering called "Change the World" to support missions financially. We focus on supporting ministry in five areas: evangelistic ministries to young people in Athens, outreach to the poor in our community, care for the fatherless, ministry to the nation of Liberia, and supporting full-time missionaries who arise from our church body.
Our Outreach Team has been serving our amazing neighbors in Rocksprings since summer 2018. From uniform and turkey drives to cookouts and ladies’ gatherings, we seek to show our community the love of Christ as we learn from and love one another. To sign up to serve with the Outreach Team, contact Elizabeth at email@example.com.
2019 Summer Mission Trip
June 10-19, 2019
This summer Classic City Church is serving on an international mission trip to the Caribbean island of Dominica! This English-speaking nation took a direct hit from Hurricane Maria in September 2017. Much of the island is still recovering from this natural disaster, with limited health care and minimal outside support from other countries.
We are partnering with M/V Pacific Hope, a medical mission ship that demonstrates the love of Jesus by providing medical care, rebuilding infrastructure, and showering hospitality on all Dominicans. Since 2013, they have helped meet the needs of people who are victims of natural disaster, isolation, poverty, and disease with the purpose of sharing God’s love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You can learn more about them at their website, https://www.mvpacifichope.org/.
Contact Elizabeth at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to sign up!
Deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 20th.
We have two prayer gatherings:
Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Ministry Center (386 North Milledge Ave).
Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 9:45 AM in room 210W at Piedmont College.
