Connection Opportunities:

  • YOUTH: Our Middle School and High School ministry “Connection” meets at the Ministry Center for lunch, fellowship and Bible study from 12:00-1:30. Gather with the Connection leaders outside the front foyer after Sunday morning service, and they will give you a ride to the Center.   • SUNDAY CLASSES: We are excited to help promote community within the church by providing Sunday Morning Classes beginning at 9:00 am. For more information please click here or contact De Burke at care@classiccity.org
  • WOMEN: The mentoring ministry, Soul2Soul, launched the first phase of ministry the fall of 2011. If you desire to be a mentor, desire to be mentored and are interested in being involved with this ministry, please contact Lisa Mason at lisa@classiccity.org.

Growth Opportunities:

  • SMALL GROUPS: We would love to have you join one of our small groups this Spring! We have something for everyone! Please click here for a list of the studies beginning in January. For more information, please contact De Burke at care@classiccity.org.
  • PRAYER MEETING: Our church gathers for corporate prayer on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Ministry Center located at 386 N. Milledge Ave. There will be a program for children Pre-K through 5th grade and childcare for ages 4 and under.
  • Perspectives is a course that looks at God's global purposes from biblical, cultural, historical, and strategic angles. It will take place in Spring 2012 on Thursdays 7:00-9:45pm at St. James UMC; you can take it for credit or a certificate.See www.perspectives.org for more information.

Service Opportunities:

  • CLASSIC CARE: is a ministry designed to meet the needs of our church community who are in need of special attention due to stressful circumstances - new baby, family health issue, etc. If you are interested in being part of this essential ministry, please contact De Burke at care@classiccity.org.
  • WOMEN’S OUTREACH: We will be collecting kitchen items of all kinds for the “Coal Pot Queens” of Liberia to help them in their food services business. Drop offs will be in either the foyer on Sundays or the Ministry Center during the week. Contact Lisa Mason for more information at lisa@classiccity.org
  • LIBERIA: If you are interested in supporting a Liberian student's education, please email the church at info@classiccity.org for more information.
  • MERCY HEALTH CENTER: Mercy Health Center needs you! Mercy is currently in need of Prayer Volunteers for our Tuesday and Thursday evening clinics, especially those who could pray in SPANISH. Please contact Kristi Kelley at kristi@mercyhealthcenter.net for more information.
